BrdsNBz Aiken is for youth in our community have questions about issues related to growing up, preventing pregnancy/STDs and relationships and don’t have a trusted adult they can turn to for answers. The BrdsNBz text line will give youth access to medically accurate information so they can make informed decisions.

Youth-only Waiting Room
The purpose of this special Youth-Only Waiting Room is to create a safe "youth-friendly" environment for our youth clients to ask questions and receive some of the education that is necessary for making responsible decisions about their health while they are waiting for their appointment.
Research has shown that adolescents need access to quality health services and accurate non-judgmental information. Youth-friendly clinics play an important role in reducing a youth's risk of becoming pregnant and/or contracting a sexually transmitted disease (STD), including HIV.
In the youth waiting room will have educational and interactive computer programs, DVD's and reading materials that are designed especially for young people.
We would like to THANK the Aiken County Health Department for giving us this space, The SC Campaign for the grant funding to transform this room, and the hard work and design talents of Peer Educators at USC-Aiken for creating this amazing space.
